Business history and mission from CarbonetiX director Bruce Rowse

Bruce Rowse

Director of CarbonetiX

CarbonetiX started operating in 2002 with a vision of lowering carbon emissions by reducing energy consumption across Victoria. This genuine commitment to reducing emissions has lead to significant energy savings for our clients. We have worked with businesses – such as Linfox, Telstra, Country Road – as well as local councils and state government departments all with the goal of lowering energy consumption and reducing their carbon footprint.

In 2012, government policy on both a state and federal level have altered the energy efficiency and carbon management game significantly. CarbonetiX have been at the forefront of many policy initiatives and are members of the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance’s Energy Efficiency Panel.

Australia’s transition to a ‘low carbon economy’ means that carbon accounting and reporting will become essential in business and government operations. Our carbon accounting services, including tailor made software solutions, will ensure that your organisation is prepared for current and future carbon reporting and management obligations.

My key message to clients and policy makers has always been that energy efficiency – or reducing energy use through new technology and building upgrades – is still the best form of clean energy.

Energy efficiency remains the key short to medium-term solution for dealing with climate change. Combine this with the huge economic and environmental benefits to organisations and you quickly realise why CarbonetiX are so passionate about what we do best.
